Today Cogent announced that it has acquired Network Pro. Network Pro is a professional services company, specialising in creating and maintaining wide area and local networks, wireless networks and security solutions with offices in both Wellington and Auckland.
Cogent CEO, Ray Noonan, announced the acquisition today. “We have been looking for great tech companies, that can complement our Managed Service portfolio. Network Pro has the right culture, people and skills and will be a great addition to Cogent.”
Cogent’s Managed Service portfolio includes Business and Unified Communications as well as Contact Centre offerings. The Network Pro acquisition enables Cogent to deliver dynamic, intelligent and secure networks to clients. “We will be able to create exceptional solutions for clients to embrace transformational cloud and digital solutions in a highly secure manner. In keeping with our Managed Service portfolio these solutions will be dynamic and scalable,” says Ray Noonan. “We are excited about the possibilities this acquisition creates for existing Cogent and Network Pro clients.”
Network Pro founder and owner, Ron van Twuiver, reflected Noonan’s thinking, “The consolidated market offering that the new company will offer is fundamental to enabling a secure connection to the Cloud, the entire Network Pro offering will compliment Cogent. We are pleased to announce that 100% of Network Pro’s staff will be joining the merged business.”
The acquisition is fundamental to Cogent’s overall strategy of creating depth and scale to our Managed Services offerings for New Zealand businesses.
The acquisition will be completed on 1 April. Network Pro clients can expect to receive excellent professional services throughout and following the acquisition and transition into Cogent. The Network Pro brand and trading will be integrated into Cogent over the next few months.
